Dr. Lydia Samples Mattison, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her residency as chief resident at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton, OH. Dr. Samples Mattison earned her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine following a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Philosophy at Georgetown College in KY. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Samples Mattison was medical director for Humana, One Florida Region, the Medical Review Institute of America, and DuPont Urgent Care. She also served as clinic director at Sun Valley Family Medicine, wound care fellow with Vohra Physicians, and staff physician at Crossover Health and the University of Louisville. Passionate about addressing diabetes, nutrition, and loneliness, she has provided outstanding care to older adult patients, helping them thrive. Inspired by her own health battles, Dr. Samples Mattison chose medicine to share the compassion she once received. Active in the Kentucky Medical Society, she has volunteered with Oak Tree Corner, a Center for Grieving Children, since 1997. In her free time, she enjoys family, movies, and nature.
