Lya S Harvey, APRN

Mrs. Lya Shawan Harvey, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in Tempe, Arizona. Mrs. Harvey provided primary care for adults and older adults through home-based and community-based settings, specializing in chronic disease management, preventive care, comprehensive assessments and patient education. Her nursing experience spanned more than 17 years and included cardiology, intensive care, home health, case management, hospice care and travel nursing. She also served in leadership roles as Director of Nursing and Supervisor of Chronic Disease Management, where she oversaw clinical operations, mentored staff and supported quality improvement initiatives. Mrs. Harvey believes in treating patients with the same time, dedication and commitment she would give to those closest to her. She is passionate about diabetes, exercise, food insecurity and addressing loneliness among older adults. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and doing volunteer work.
