Kristi Asante, MD

Dr. Kristi Amponsaa Asante, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York in 2002. Dr. Asante earned her medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School in 1996. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Asante practiced as a locum tenens hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers and Palomar Medical Center in California, Flagstaff Medical Center in Arizona, and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Nevada. She also worked as an internal medicine hospitalist with the Nevada Hospitalist Group and Caremore Medical Group in Las Vegas, NV. Earlier, she worked with Healthcare Partners and Southwest Medical Associates and provided primary care in an underserved area with Seth Adjovu, M.D. Passionate about heart health, nutrition, and combating loneliness in seniors, she believes healthier choices are essential for a high quality of life, and her experience enables her to build strong patient relationships and deliver compassionate care. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and music.
