Kimberly N. Smith, MSN, RN, CWON, joined CenterWell as a nurse practitioner. Ms. Smith earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner-Clinical Nurse Specialist, from Georgia State University. She obtained her BSN from the University of West Georgia and a B.S. in Biology Pre-Med from the State University of West Georgia. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Smith worked with Joseph M. Still Burn Centers as a nurse practitioner-team lead and with American Mobile and Sentara Norfolk General as a travel nurse and certified wound ostomy nurse. She previously worked as an RN with Kaiser Permanente, Emory Adventist Hospital and at Wellstar Cobb Hospital as a charge nurse in the Burn ICU. When treating older adults, she loves learning about their past, who they used to be, and who they are now. Ms. Smith chose healthcare for the immense privilege of helping better the lives of people of all ages. She believes that listening to her patients is key to improving their quality of life and health, a care philosophy reflecting CenterWell's values. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and trying new breakfast and brunch restaurants.
