Kien Thanh Tran, DO

Dr. Kien Thanh Tran, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his residency at Ascension Hospital in Madison Heights, MI, serving as chief resident. His accolades include Medicine Resident of the Year from Ascension Hospital and Mentor of the Year nominations from the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Tran earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in the top 15% of his class. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Tran practiced at Fairchild Medical Clinic in Yreka, CA. From 2000 to 2020, he was an internal medicine physician with Michigan Healthcare Professionals in Rochester Hills, MI. His earlier roles included medical director of East West Home Health Care and program director for Internal Medicine at Ascension Hospital. Passionate about managing complex conditions, preventing hospitalizations, and addressing atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, he believes in listening to improve patient well-being. Dr. Tran chose medicine to help older adults prioritize their health. In his free time, he enjoys family, music, and exploring the outdoors.
