Dr. Kasey Abanonu joined CenterWellas a board-certified internal medicine physician. He speaks English, Igbo, and Swahili and has worked as a healthcare professional since 2009. Dr. Abanonucompleted his internal medicine residency at Seton Hall UniversityHospital.Before joining CenterWell, Dr. Abanonu cared for seniors as an inpatient physician and hospitalist at Inpatient Consultants. He also worked with Las Vegas Hospitalists, treating Senior Dimension patients at St. Rose Hospitals. He was a medical director and locum and opened the Integrated Wellness and Pain Management Center. His experience in inpatient care, outpatient practice, and pain management has prepared him to care for high-risk patients and patients with acute and chronic pain issues. He values working at CenterWell because of the structure, and he remarked that the teams at CenterWell are amazing!Dr. Abanonu decided to become a doctor because he loves helping people in need. His philosophyof careis equal healthcare service for all with no preferential care, and he lives by the words, treat others as you would like to be treated.Hebelieves in listening to his patients and attending to their needs like a family member. Dr. Abanonu served in the U.S. Navy, Honorably Discharged after three years. He played professional soccer before entering the healthcare field. He enjoys playing soccer and traveling.
