Dr. Karyn Harries joined CenterWell as a board-certified physician specializing in family practice. Dr. Harries completed the University of Illinois, Christ Hospital Family Practice Residency Program following the University of Illinois, Cook County Hospital Internship Program in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Harries earned her medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. She obtained a B.S. in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University. Dr. Harries academic appointments include being a preceptor for Touro University of Nevada and the University of Nevada Las Vegas Medical School. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Harries practiced family medicine with Intermountain Healthcare in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. She previously cared for patients at Priest River Medica Clinic in Priest River, Idaho. Her experience in hospital settings includes Kellogg Medical Center and La Porte Urgent Care. Dr. Harries father is a family practice doctor. She worked in her fathers clinic for many years which shaped her as healthcare provider. Throughout her career, shes loved treating older adults. She appreciates the time she can spend with her patients at CenterWell, listening to and getting to know them, which she feels is key to improving their health and quality of life, describing her philosophy of care. Dr. Harries chose medicine because she has always had a passion for helping others and serving her community. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, and going to the movies.
