Karthika Vempati, MD

Dr. Karthika Vempati is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Vempati completed her family medicine residency at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, California—an affiliate of UC Davis—where she served as Resident Wellness Committee Liaison and developed expertise in compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her medical degree from Mamata Medical College in India, achieved ECFMG certification, and successfully completed all steps of the USMLE. Licensed as a physician and surgeon in Georgia, Dr. Vempati is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She is dedicated to empowering her patients through personalized, evidence-based approaches that support healthy aging, optimal nutrition, effective medication management, and sustainable weight loss. Outside of her clinical role, Dr. Vempati enjoys preparing nutritious meals, hosting gatherings with friends and family, reading inspirational books, and traveling.
