Dr. Juliana Andrea Llano, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her family medicine residency and internship at Georgetown University/Providence Hospital in Washington, DC, named chief resident. Dr. Llano earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine (HUCM). She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Molecular Biology, cum laude, from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Llano has co-authored articles published in the Journal of Immunology, the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, and the 5-Minute Clinical Consult. Her honors include the Excellence in Public Health Award, U.S. Public Health Service Physician, the HUCM Alumni Association Scholarship, and Georgetown String of Pearls for Teaching Nominee. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Llano worked with Millennium Physician Group in Jacksonville, FL, and Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in Hyattsville, MD. Dr. Llano chose medicine with a passion for seniors and safeguarding their quality of life. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, traveling, and volunteering, including the HUCM New Freedmen's Clinic and medical mission trips to Haiti with NOAH.
