JoShunda LaTiece Samuels, APRN

JoShunda LaTiece Samuels, MSN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, earned her Master of Science in Nursing —Family Practice and Acute Care Adult Gerontology—and her BSN from the University of South Alabama. Ms. Samuels obtained her M.S. in Human Environmental Science from the University of Alabama, and a B.S. in Biological Sciences, summa cum laude, from Alabama A&M University. Her accolades include the President's Cup and induction into Sigma Theta Tau and Beta Kappa Chi honor societies. Before joining our center in 2024, Ms. Samuels worked as a cardiology nurse practitioner at Keesler Air Force Base and previously as an FNP with Franklin Primary Health Center, MainStreet Family Urgent Care, Hitesh Internal Medicine, and FEMA. She held critical care RN roles with Texas Methodist, University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, and the Medical Center of Plano. Passionate about heart health, exercise, and nutrition, she empowers patients by listening to their needs. Ms. Samuels chose healthcare to help others and has volunteered with Alpha Kappa Alpha's Adopt-A-Child program. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, swimming, dancing, and quality time with her family.
