Josephine Walker Dion Redmond, PAC

Josephine Redmond, PA-C, a board-certified physician assistant, completed her M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2009, Dean's List, following a B.S. in Biology, magna cum laude from Francis Marion University. In 2002, she researched Achilles tendon repair at Miller Orthopedic Clinic in Charlotte, NC, accumulating over 100 hours in the OR. Before joining our center in 2024, Ms. Redmond provided primary care with Genesis Healthcare in Walterboro, SC, and Compass Health Systems. She maintained a family medicine clinic under Alpha Medical. Passionate about diabetes, nutrition, and mental health, she emphasizes exceptional care for older adults through patient education and shared decision-making. She states, “I am honored to care for this community of patients!” Ms. Redmond chose healthcare to make a difference in people's lives and believes that taking the time to listen to patients can improve their health and well-being. A member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, outside of work, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and fossil and shark tooth hunting.
