Jose L Duran, APRN

Jose Luis Duran, FNP, earned his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2019. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 and Associate Degree in Nursing in 2013 from the same institution. He obtained his Associate Degree in Applied Science Respiratory Care from Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, in 2003. Mr. Duran worked as a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, and served as an Ambulatory Care Unit registered nurse at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in Katy, Texas. Earlier, he practiced for sixteen years as a registered respiratory therapist. Mr. Duran has always been fond of working with older adults, finding it rewarding to listen to their stories and provide compassionate care. Mr. Duran chose a career in healthcare out of a passion for helping others and serving his community. He was a member of the Storm Team that remained working in the hospital during Hurricane Ike in 2008. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he enjoys the outdoors, spending quality time with his family, and going to the movies.
