Jorge Luis Torres, MD

Dr. Jorge L. Torres-Ortiz is a primary care physician specializing in internal medicine. A second-generation primary care physician, passionate about cardiovascular, endocrinologic, mental and aging health topics, Dr. Torres-Ortiz did postgraduate training at St. Luke's Hospital in Puerto Rico. He earned his medical degree from the St. John Baptist school of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He received his B.S. in General Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of PR. A member of the American Geriatric Society, American Medical Association, and Florida Medical Association, he obtained the Care Plus 5-Star Award in 2018 and 2019.Dr. Torres-Ortiz worked with My Health Onsite in Kissimmee, FL, My Care Medical Group, and IMA Medical Group in St. Petersburg, FL, where he served as medical director. He believes in treating his patients with the same time, dedication, and commitment he would invest in his loved ones. Dr. Torres-Ortiz choose medicine driven by a warm place in his heart for seniors to safeguard their quality of life. Outside of his work, he enjoys making new memories with his family, cooking, and traveling.
