Jordan Laferty, MD

Dr. Jordan Laferty is a dual board-certified internal medicine physician with a strong background in rural community and hospital-based patient care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George's University in Grenada, holds a Master of Science in Medical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky. His residency at Lake Cumberland Residency Program honed his skills in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care. Dr. Laferty served as a hospitalist and attending physician at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital where he led patient care initiatives and chaired multiple committees including Patient Safety, Clinical Quality and the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Laferty has also contributed to education as an adjunct faculty instructor in pharmacology and served as a youth mentor promoting biomedical careers to underrepresented students. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, his dog, Cooper, and giving back through community outreach. He brings that same compassion and enthusiasm to his work, focusing on patient-driven goals to help each individual achieve a fulfilling and healthy quality of life.
