Dr. Jonathan Roberts recently joined our center in Hammond, Louisiana. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been working in health care for 30 years. Roberts graduated from Southern University Baton Rouge and completed his residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. He is also a veteran of the Army National Guard.
When asked what led him to a career in health care, Roberts explains, “Medicine afforded me the opportunity of serving my fellow man and making a difference in people’s lives.” He says that the best part about his profession is when he sees a patient achieve positive health outcomes.
When it comes to patient care, Roberts says that the “right relationship” is struck when a patient places their trust in him for every aspect of their health and medical care. He adds that at an initial consultation, he ensures patient satisfaction by always asking his patients what he can do better, and, if he has addressed all of their concerns.
Dr. Roberts is confident that his 30-year career in Primary Care and Internal Medicine will enhance his ability to serve his new CenterWell patients. He is especially proud of serving on the governance board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and believes in being available and accessible to his patients.
When Dr. Roberts is not working, he likes to spend time with his wife and 12-year-old stepdaughter, watch NFL games on TV, swim, and play basketball.
