Jerell Diego Chua, DO

Dr. Jerell D. Chua joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Chua completed his family medicine residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 2012. Before joining CenterWell, Dr. Chua served as medical director and a family medicine physician at North Central Family Medicine in Rock Hill, SC, and provided primary care at Catawba Mental Health. He earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine as a National Health Service Corps Scholar and received an American Osteopathic Foundation Welch Scholar Grant. A Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Fraternity and Gold Humanism Honor Society inductee, he holds a Master's in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Chicago. Before attending medical school, Dr. Chua worked as a research specialist at the Institute for Health Research and Policy in Chicago, Illinois. As a parent, he enjoys watching his daughter in gymnastics competitions and, in his free time, plays tennis and explores his interest in cooking.
