Jarvis Jeffrey Sanchez Rivera, MD

Dr. Jarvis Sanchez is a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist and speaks English and Spanish. A graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Sanchez moved to New York to complete his residency at Rochester Regional Health. Dr. Sanchez was a primary care physician providing rehabilitative transitional care for seniors at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Rochester New York for 11 years, later becoming Associate Medical Director from 2017 to 2021. He also worked at Rochester General Hospital Wound Healing for a total of seven years and spent three years in a geriatric practice. During this time, he was also medical director for the Episcopal Church Home, also in Rochester. Sanchez enjoys the daily interaction with his patients, their stories, and the learning experiences he has gained from them. He sums up his philosophy of care as: “Cure sometimes, treat often, but comfort always.” Dr. Sanchez and his wife were both born in Puerto Rico and all three of their children were born in New York. When Dr. Sanchez is not caring for patients he enjoys watching a good TV series with his family, running, and lifting weights. The words he lives by are “count your blessings, not your problems.”
