Jared Hunter West, MD

Dr. Jared West joined CenterWell as a general practice physician. Dr. West completed his residency at the University of New Mexico. He attended the University of California, San Diego, the University of Southern California, and Ponce Health Sciences University, where he earned his medical degree. Before joining CenterWell, Dr. West worked at the University of New Mexico, First Choice Clinics, and was a volunteer EMS in the Medical Reserve Corps for Contra Costa County, CA. At CenterWell, he is happy to be part of a team that shares his goals. He ensures patient satisfaction by active listening and describes the right relationship with patients as honest, open, and two-way, and should engender a feeling of teamwork, he adds. Before CenterWell, Dr. West treated older adults at First Choice Clinics, a community health clinic designed to cover the healthcare needs of those who tend to fall through the cracks. During the pandemic, he volunteered with care facilities in Contra Costa County to help control COVID-19 outbreaks and received congressional recognition for his efforts. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, watchmaking, and spending time outdoors with his family.
