James P. Demetriou, MD, specialized in Family Medicine, earned his Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine after completing a BA in Economics at Brown University. He completed his residency at Rapid City Regional Hospital and has extensive experience in adult and geriatric care through roles in rural health, emergency medicine, and outpatient primary care. Dr. Demetriou has served as Chief Medical Officer and ER Director, leading teams and overseeing critical services in multiple states. His philosophy centers on treating patients with the same dedication he would give to loved ones, with a passion for diabetes, heart health, and nutrition. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.
