Dr. Hortensia Rosales Martinez is an internal medicine specialist. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. A graduate of the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, Dr. Rosales Martinez completed her internal medicine residency at SBH Hospital in the Bronx, New York. She served her internship at the Capdevila Polyclinic in Havana, Cuba and treated a population of 2500 patients under the supervision of the medical director. Dr. Rosales Martinez cared for older adults during a psychiatry observership in the Houston, Texas, office of Dr. Carlos Hernandez, M.D., and earlier as a medical doctor at the Bogota Polyclinic in Bogota, Colombia, where she led the medical team as a primary healthcare provider. previously was the chief physician of the Aguas Blancas Comprehensive Diagnostic Center in Venezuela, where she also taught embryology to second-year medical students. Her volunteer efforts have included Dengue fever screenings in Havana, Cuba, and the Hurricane Harvey recovery effort in Houston, Texas. Outside of her work, Dr. Rosales Martinez enjoys spending quality time with her family.
