Dr. Hortensia Rosales Martinez joined CenterWell as an internal medicine physician. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. A graduate of the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, she completed an internal medicine residency at SBH Hospital in the Bronx, New York. She served her internship at the Capdevila Polyclinic in Havana, Cuba and treated a population of 2500 patients under the supervision of the medical director. 

 

Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Rosales Martinez cared for older adults during a psychiatry observership in the Houston, Texas, office of Dr. Carlos Hernandez, M.D., and earlier as a medical doctor at the Bogota Polyclinic in Bogota, Colombia, where she led the medical team as a primary healthcare provider. She previously was the chief physician of the Aguas Blancas Comprehensive Diagnostic Center in Portuguesa, Venezuela, where she also taught embryology to second-year medical students. At CenterWell, she appreciates the customized care she can provide her patients.

 

Dr. Rosales Martinez entered the healthcare profession to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them put their health first. Her philosophy of care is to guide her patients to make healthier choices that will help keep them happy and healthy. Her volunteer efforts have included Dengue fever screenings in Havana, Cuba, and the Hurricane Harvey recovery effort in Houston, Texas. She enjoys spending time with her family.
