American Nurses Credentialing Center 2014

Heather Dawn Petry, FNP, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. Petry earned a Master of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, in 2014, following a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same institution in 2012. She received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Mount Gay-Shamrock, WV, in 2007. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Petry provided palliative-focused care with Landmark Medical and Prospero Health. During her tenure at Matrix Providers from 2017 to 2021, she conducted comprehensive medical assessments to support disability compensation claims for military veterans. Her commitment extended to serving Medicare Advantage members at Advance Health and providing essential care to geriatric populations at Stonerise Services and Provider Health Services. Her profound connection with seniors is evident through her work in inpatient, long-term, palliative, and primary care settings and her passion for caregiving and heart health. Her care philosophy - that listening is vital to enhancing her patients health and well-being - supports CenterWells patient-centered values. Ms. Petry chose a healthcare career out of a genuine affinity for older adults and a desire to enhance their quality of life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and attending sporting events.
