Heather Ballantyne, APRN

Heather Ray Ballantyne, APRN, FNP-C, MSN, a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology, is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Touro University. Ms. Ballantyne earned her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Purdue University Global, a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University, and a Registered Nurse degree from Chabot Community College. She has extensive experience in advanced patient care, mentoring new nurse practitioners, and leading cardiology innovations, including developing policies to improve care outcomes. Before joining our center in 2024, Ms. Ballantyne served as a cardiology APP lead and RN manager with Intermountain Healthcare, where she directed outpatient cardiology care and a Congestive Heart Failure clinic. She previously worked as the surgical services clinical educator for Dignity Health and held leadership roles at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Mountain View Hospital. A passionate advocate for heart health, Ms. Ballantyne chose healthcare to help patients prioritize their well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
