Dr. Harry Shaw Strothers III has joined CenterWell as a fellowship-trained, board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Shaw Strothers completed a faculty development fellowship at Morehouse School of Medicine and his family practice residency at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He holds a master's in medical management from Tulane University School of Public Health and a B.S. in Biological Science from Indiana State University. He serves as an adjunct professor at the Morehouse School of Medicine and as professor and chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine. His accolades include membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society in Medicine and Family Physician of the Year by the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Shaw Strothers saw patients with the Medical Center of Central Georgia-Atrium Health Navicent. With an affinity for seniors, he believes in providing the same time, dedication, and commitment to his patients as he would to those closest to him, a care philosophy that resonates with CenterWell's values. Dr. Shaw Strothers, passionate about brain health, heart health, and loneliness & socialization, chose medicine to make a difference in people's lives by helping them prioritize their health. Outside of his work, he enjoys spending time with family, reading books, and volunteering.
