Gladys M Duarte, MD

Gladys Maria Duarte, MD, JD, is a Family Medicine physician with extensive experience in primary care and leadership roles. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and completed her medical training at Hospital Metropolitano Dr. Tito Mattei in Puerto Rico. Dr. Duarte has served as a physician in diverse clinical settings, including community health centers and urgent care, and as Clinical Director at Florida Community Health Center. She has also been recognized as Provider of the Year in 2025 and designated as a Clinical Champion for her commitment to quality care. A former U.S. Air Force JAG officer, Dr. Duarte brings a unique perspective to patient advocacy and care coordination. Guided by her belief that listening to patients is key to improving their quality of life, she is passionate about brain health, heart health, and promoting exercise. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the beach, snorkeling, and spending time outdoors.
