Estefany Sanchez Mendez, MD

Estefany Sanchez Mendez, MD, is a board-certi?ed internal medicine specialist. She earned her medical degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) School of Medicine in 2007, completed her internal medicine residency at the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center from 2018 to 2021, then a geriatric medicine fellowship through the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine from 2021 to 2022. Before joining CenterWell in October 2024, Dr. Sanchez served as a Primary Care Physician at ChenMed. She also worked as part of a COVID-19 Community Vaccination Program and received a Healthcare Heroes During the COVID-19 Crisis award. Dr. Sanchez started her medical career because she has a warm place in her heart for seniors and wanted to safeguard their quality of life. She prioritizes centering a patient's quality of life, focusing on social and emotional needs and not just medical conditions, and feels that this approach helps patients experience renewed purpose, joy, and ful?llment. She stated that witnessing the positive impact of personalized care on their quality of life is incredibly rewarding. In her free time, Dr. Sanchez enjoys listening to music, traveling, and spending time with family.
