Dr. Eric Pederson, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed the UPMC Altoona Family Medicine Residency Program in Altoona, PA in 2020. Dr. Pederson earned his medical degree in 2017 from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained his B.S. in Biology from Florida Atlantic University. His academic appointments include Clinical Associate Professor at the University of South Dakota and Faculty Member at Monument Health Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Pederson was a primary care physician and Chronic Care Team Lead at the Veterans Affairs Black Hills Health Care System in Rapid City, SD. Passionate about exercise, heart, and brain health along with an affinity for working with older adults, he believes listening to his patients is crucial to improving their health and well-being. Dr. Pederson was drawn to medicine by his love for anatomy and physiology, which began in high school. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and sharing moments with his family.
