Elffy Munoz, MD

Dr. Elffy Munoz, an internal medicine specialist, completed her internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City. Dr. Munoz earned her medical degree magna cum laude from Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher, where she also served as an assistant professor of pathology. Her clinical research includes studies on mediastinal masses and leptospirosis. Recognized as Doctor of the Month for her work in an underserved community, she also excelled as a Five-Star ESL teacher. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Munoz was an assistant program coordinator in the cardiology division of Coruminas Clinic in the Dominican Republic. Driven by a passion for heart health, caregiving, and diabetes management, she has dedicated her practice to seniors, with an emphasis on empathy and personalized attention. Dr. Munoz is committed to building meaningful connections with individuals to enhance their health and well-being. She chose medicine to positively impact people's lives, and her dedication extends to volunteering in community health initiatives and teaching English online. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and exploring fashion.
