Dr. Diana I. Elizalde has joined CenterWell Senior Primary Care as a board-certified Geriatric Medicine specialist. She is an Arizona native and completed both her Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at The University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix through Banner University Medical Center. She has been involved in basic science and clinical research throughout her undergraduate and medical training, which has led her to co-author several peer-reviewed articles in medical journals such as Molecular Immunology and Neural Plasticity. Dr. Elizalde chose a career in medicine to help patients better understand their health conditions. Her goal is to keep her patients healthy and encourage them to maintain an active lifestyle. During her residency training, she discovered her passion for working with older adults and chose to complete a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship to gain the skills to manage diseases that commonly impact this patient population. Her philosophy of care includes listening to her patients needs, treating them with compassion and providing high-quality acute and preventative medical care. In her free time, Dr. Elizalde loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, hiking, baking or playing with her Golden Retriever, Enzo.
