Desiree Casasnovas-Lopez, MD

Dr. Desiree Casasnovas, MD, is a Neurologist with more than a decade of experience caring for patients through evidence based, empathetic, and patient centered care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico–Mayagüez Campus, earned her medical degree at Colegio Universitario San Judas Tadeo after beginning her medical education in Matanzas, Cuba, and completed her neurology residency at the University Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her clinical work has focused on diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions with compassion and precision, grounded in her belief in practicing evidence based neurology with empathy and understanding. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Casasnovas values meaningful patient relationships and strives to help individuals navigate complex neurological concerns with confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, tennis, boating, reading, and spending time with her two Belgian Shepherds.
