Dr. David P. Wasserman, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed his family medicine residency as chief resident at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, having served a general rotating internship at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY, and obtained additional physical medicine and rehabilitation training at Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Wasserman earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Dallas. He served as an associate clinical professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Wasserman was the center medical director of Nova Medical and market medical director of St. David's CareNow Urgent Care, overseeing 16 urgent care centers in Austin and El Paso, TX. His affinity for seniors was evident throughout his roles at Concentra Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine and with Cornerwood Family Medicine Associates and Lake Travis Medical Center in Austin, TX. Dr. Wasserman chose medicine driven by a lifelong commitment to serving others. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, and the outdoors.
