David Mark Sellers, MD

David M. Sellers, M.D., MBA, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Sellers earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and completed his family medicine residency at the same institution. He obtained a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt Owen School of Management. He received his Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Science from Kent State University. Dr. Sellers held numerous leadership positions at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, including as chief of staff. He has been active in the community as well being a past board chair of the MLK Jr. Scholarship Fund of Rutherford County. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Sellers was the center medical director of Dedicated Senior Medical Center in Nashville, TN, and previously the lead hospitalist at St. Thomas Rutherford. His earlier roles include medical director of St. Louise Clinic, owner of the 21st Century Health Care Clinic, and chief medical officer of United Neighborhood Health Services. Outside of his work, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, and cooking.
