Damarys Mustelier Cedeno, MD

Dr. Damarys Mustelier-Cedeno, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her residency at UPR-Dr. Federico Trilla Hospital in Carolina, Puerto Rico, in 2024. She attended externships at Jonas Garcia MD & Associates (cardiology) and Oncology consultants of Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Mustelier-Cedeno earned her medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara, Cuba, in 2006, obtaining an Award of Excellence. She served a family medicine residency at Julio Trigo Hospital in Havana, Cuba, distinguished for her poster presentations at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana. From 2006 to 2009, she worked as a family medicine specialist at the Center of Diagnosis and Intervention in Caracas, Venezuela. Her research has focused on infectious diseases, hypertension, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Mustelier-Cedeno chose medicine to help others and serve her community. She promotes nutrition, brain health, and heart health in older adults, empowering patients to make healthier choices. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, making memories with her family, and traveling.
