Cuong Vi La, MD

Dr. Cuong Vi La, MD, is a family medicine physician who earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada. He completed his Family Medicine residency training at Central Michigan University College of Medicine. Dr. La provided care in family medicine and community health settings, including serving patients at Great Lakes Bay Health Centers where a significant portion of his patient population consisted of older adults. His experience caring for seniors helped strengthen his passion for senior-focused primary care and chronic disease management. He is particularly passionate about diabetes care, heart health, obesity, brain health and nutrition. Dr. La believes that taking the time to listen to patients is essential to improving their health and quality of life, and he entered the healthcare profession out of a desire to help others and serve his community. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, spending time with family and traveling.
