Crystal S. Owen, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner focusing on geriatrics. Mrs. Owen earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the Simmons University, BSN from University of Texas, Arlington, TX, and Associate in Applied Science-Professional Nursing from Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley in Kansas City, KS. Her distinctions include Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing induction, a Humana-Excellence Award, and the International Nurses Society-Top Nurse Practitioner in Dallas, TX. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Mrs. Owen was a Center Provider and Market Clinical Educator with Humana Primary Care for the CenterWell organization; and instrumental in the development of the current Provider education program. She was previously a nurse practitioner with Gary Goff, MD, PA, in Dallas, TX, and her vast experience as an RN includes USPI/Baylor Surgical Hospital Uptown in Dallas, Presbyterian Hospital-Dallas, and the University of Kansas Medical Center. She values the underserved senior population, their stories, honesty, wisdom and appreciation of simple pleasures. She believes in educating patients and caregivers about prevention and disease progression to help enhance their quality of life, a philosophy reflecting CenterWells care approach. Ms. Owen chose her career path in senior care after her grandmother lived with her for over seven years, coupled with divine guidance. Outside of work, she cherishes traveling with her spouse, gatherings with family, friends, and co-workers, horseback riding, dancing, and the beach.
