Christine Castille, APRN, FNP-C, BC-ADM, CDCES, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and an advanced diabetes management, diabetes care, and education specialist. Mrs. Castille earned her Master of Science in Nursing as well as her undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Mrs. Castille's interest in preventing and managing disease to promote healthy aging began while working as a nurse practitioner in the endocrinology department of Ochsner Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA. She later worked in several organizations establishing chronic disease prevention and management programs where the patient is the center of the healthcare team. Treating the patient's physical, emotional, and social well-being is what Mrs. Castille believes is necessary to achieve the best health outcomes for her patients. As a Desert Storm veteran and medic during her service in the United States Army and National Guard from 1988 to 1995, she believes healthy patients make healthy communities. Outside of work, she cherishes quality time with her family, which includes her husband, two daughters, and pets.
