Christine Flegeance Castille, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, BC-ADM, CDCES, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified adult and gerontological primary care nurse practitioner. Ms. Castille earned her DNP from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she focused on non-opioid and non-pharmacological treatments for chronic pain in older adults, presenting her research at the NCNA Annual Convention. Ms. Castille also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University in Bexley, Ohio, and she is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Castille worked at UnitedHealth Group/Optum, specializing in complex care management for older adults. She previously worked with UNC Healthcare as a clinical documentation specialist and as an RN in the ICU step-down unit of Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Her passion for working with seniors developed while she was serving as the assistant director of nursing of Buckeye Health Agency in Columbus, OH. Ms. Castille believes that listening to her patients is vital to enhancing their health and quality of life, a philosophy that aligns with CenterWells values. Ms. Castilles decision to pursue a career in healthcare was inspired by her desire to help others. As an Army National Guard veteran who served in Desert Storm, she has always been drawn to service. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
