Christa Rigel McCann, MD

Dr. Christa McCann is an internal medicine specialist. Dr. McCann completed an internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Greenville Hospital System and was named chief resident. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from Anderson University. Her research related to breast cancer has been published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, American Journal of Surgery, American Surgeon, and the Annual Review of Medicine. Dr. McCann was an attending physician at HEAL Doctors from 2021 and previously with Signify Health, Elite Patient Care, Family Health Centers, and Greenville Hospital System. She most recently treated seniors in a home-based primary care model and explained that older adults have been a large part of her patient population throughout her career. Taking the time to listen to her patients as key to improving their quality of life and health summarizes her care philosophy. She enjoys reading books and family time. As a volunteer with Southside Christian School, she has provided sports physicals free of charge for student athletes.
