Dr. Cheryl A. McClain, MD is a highly experienced physician specializing in family practice and addiction medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky Medical School and completed her Family Practice Residency at the University of Kentucky, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. McClain is board certified in Family Practice and Addiction Medicine, and she holds a Master's degree in Health Quality and Safety Management from Thomas Jefferson University. Her extensive career includes roles such as Medical Director at BrightView Addiction Centers and Associate Chief Medical Officer at St. Claire HealthCare Medical Center. Dr. McClain has also been involved in various healthcare consulting and educational roles, including co-founding The CheraWen Group and serving as a volunteer faculty member at the University of Kentucky. She has significant experience in geriatric care, having developed and implemented multiple clinics and programs aimed at improving health outcomes. Outside of her professional life, Dr. McClain enjoys riding and training horses, baking bread, and walking.
