Carol Madlyn Espinal, MD

Dr. Carol M. Espinal is a fellowship-trained, board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Espinal performed a geriatrics fellowship at Audie Murphy Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Department of Family & Community Medicine. Dr. Espinal earned her medical degree from Libre University Medical School. Her distinctions include the Vitas Best Award, UTHSCSA Department of Family and Community Medicine third-year resident recognition, and Excellence in Clinical Geriatrics. She presented research at the AAFP Scientific Assembly in Denver, CO. Before joining our center, Dr. Espinal practiced with Vitas Healthcare in Orlando, FL, caring for patients in the final phase of life and providing support for their families. She previously practiced geriatric medicine at FPG Medical Group of Hunter's Creek Orlando and JSA Medical Group in Bradenton, FL. Earlier, she was an emergency room physician with the Colsanitas Medical Organization in Cali, Colombia. Dr. Espinal loves getting to know her patients. In her free time, she enjoys nature and family gatherings.
