Carlos Salinas, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified family Nurse Practitioner. Mr. Salinas earned his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas. An inductee of the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, he presented a Practice Intervention Project on Exercise Recommendations for Older Adults. He completed advanced clinical rotations in family health, internal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and cardiology. His accolades include Peer Recognition for Ownership, Teamwork, and Patient Safety by RGRH/HCA in 2019. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Mr. Salinas cared for patients as a nurse practitioner with Cano Health and Mission Vascular and Vein Institute. Earlier, he practiced as an RN team member at Rio Grande Regional Hospital, and as a chest pain analyst with South Texas Health System. His philosophy centers on patient education, with a passion for exercise, heart health, and mental health. Mr. Salinas chose healthcare to make a difference in people's lives by helping them put their health first. He enjoys volunteering in community health fairs and, outside of his work, spending time with family and traveling.
