Brian D. Lum, M.D., is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. At CenterWell Senior Primary Care Greer, he leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Lum completed his internship and family medicine residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina, and served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. He obtained a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. He is an adjunct assistant professor of family medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Greenville. His article, 'In-patients with psoriasis: Does a gluten-free diet improve outcomes?' was published in Evidence-Based Practice, 20(9) 8. Dr. Lum practiced family medicine at Prisma Health Family Medicine - Pine Street in Spartanburg, South Carolina, from 2021 until he joined CenterWell in 2023. He previously worked as the Hospital Medicine Director of American Physician Partners in Gaffney, South Carolina, and as the Regional Medical Director of Doctors Making Housecalls-Eventus WholeHealth in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He has functioned as the vice chief of staff of the Infection Control, Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, chairman of the Peer Review Committee, and medical director of the Hospitalist Program of the Mary Black Health System in Gaffney, South Carolina. Dr. Lum is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has volunteered with St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the Anderson Free Clinic in Anderson, North Carolina.
