Dr. Bassem Adie, a fellowship-trained, board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed a nephrology fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1997 and his internal medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in 1996. Affiliated with the American College of Physicians, Dr. Adie earned his medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in 1991. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Adie practiced at Oak Street Health, as clinic medical director in Irvington, receiving the Oak Street Health Service Recognition Award in 2017. He previously saw patients with Open Door Health Services in Muncie, IN, and earlier, as a self-employed physician in Irvine, KY. He was also the medical director of Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home and Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital. Dr. Adie chose medicine to make a difference in people's lives by prioritizing their health. Dedicated to working with older adults and committed to heart health and diabetes management, he believes that taking the time to listen to his patients can enhance their quality of life. Outside of work, he enjoys listening to music, quality time with family, and traveling.
