Barron Taylor, DNP, MSN, CRNP, FNP-BC, joined CenterWell as a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner. Mr. Taylor earned his DNP, MSN-FNP, and BSN, cum laude, from Carlow University. He was distinguished as a UPMC Above and Beyond Honor Roll Recipient and with a Carlow University Nomination as "Outstanding NP Student" from the Nurse Practitioner Coalition of Western Pennsylvania. From 2014 to 2017, he served on the Adjunct Faculty of the Graduate School of Nursing, FNP Program at Carlow University. His published research includes a study of type II diabetes continuity of care in a rural community.

Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Taylor was the Clinical Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement with Heal Doctors. In this role, he provided Clinical Documentation and Risk Adjustment education to all providers within a multi-state home-based primary care organization. He has also served as an APRN at AFC Urgent Care. He previously was an APRN at Telephys Telehealth Services, Atrium Health Anson (Carolinas Primary Care), and APRN hospitalist/outpatient internal medicine at UPMC Community Medicine, Inc. His work with older adults includes acute, long-term, and primary care settings, and he is experienced with value-based care and Medicare Advantage home-based primary care patients.

Mr. Taylor entered the healthcare field to make a difference in people's lives by helping them put their health first. "I believe that taking the time to listen to my patients is key to improving their quality of life and health," summarizes Mr. Taylor's care philosophy. He enjoys family time, movies, and the outdoors.
