Dr. Azikiwe Kamau Lombard, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed his residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in 2008. Dr. Lombard earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2004, following a B.S. in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana. He served as an assistant professor at Tulane University School of Medicine for five years. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Lombard was the medical director for Louisiana at CorrectHealth. Earlier, he saw patients with Ochsner Health for nine years. He began his career as a primary care physician at Tulane University, and his experience working with seniors includes his tenure at PACE of GNO. Passionate about exercise, nutrition, and caregiving, Dr. Lombard believes in listening to his patients and empowering them to make healthy choices. A New Orleans native, Dr. Lombard is committed to reducing health disparities in underserved urban communities. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, listening to music, and traveling.
