Dr. Antonio V. Yu Jr., a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his internal medicine residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, affiliated with Brown University, in 1993 and his internship at Interfaith Medical Center, State University of New York in 1991. Dr. Yu earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, the Philippines, in 1987, following his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the same institution in 1983. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Yu maintained private practices in Surprise, Arizona, for 18 years and saw patients at Arizona Primary Care group practice from 2014 to 2018. He served as an admitting and consulting physician at Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital and Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City, AZ, from 2000 to 2016, with previous roles as a hospitalist in Mesa, AZ, and as an internist in Phoenix, AZ, and Oak Hill, West Virginia. Dr. Yu chose medicine to enrich the quality of life for seniors. His dedication to older adult patients is underscored by his focus on heart health, diabetes, and exercise, alongside a belief in attentive listening to enhance their well-being. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors.
