Antonia Maritza Hernandez, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with over a decade of experience delivering compassionate, comprehensive care in outpatient settings. She earned her medical degree and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Hernandez has served diverse populations, including underserved communities, veterans, and older adults, with a strong focus on chronic disease management and geriatric care. Her leadership roles include serving as Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Risk Manager at Nuestra Clinica Del Valle, where she oversaw multiple clinics and supervised multidisciplinary teams. She has also provided care in correctional facilities, home-based settings, and senior-focused clinics such as CenterWell Senior Primary Care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Hernandez is passionate about improving access to quality care and mentoring healthcare providers. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
