I arrived early, and was taken back to a room to check BP, temp, etc Then a very long wait for the actual (substitute) provider. The MD at this location was apparently unavailable. I had been seeing an NP, but either he was unavailable, or perhaps had left the practice. (I was not told anything, other than the ;regular "MD" was unavailable. The sub was also an MD. The provider, whom I had never met before, had no idea that the main reason for this visit was a follow up on an out of range PT/INR reading. She was questioning why I was taking a blood thinner (warfarin). As was part of my medical history, provided when I first went to CenterWell, I've taking blood thinners for well over 20 years, after a blood clot in one leg resulted in a five day hospital stay. Then, after finishing with the provider, there was another extended wait till a nurse was ready to draw a blood sample to re-check INR. If the next visit does not go any better than this one, then I may have to consider looking for a different practice for primary medical care.
