Anna Marie Herrera, MD

Dr. Anna Marie Herrera, MD, is a Family Medicine physician with a strong commitment to caring for older adults and improving quality of life through patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and completed her Family Medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. Throughout her training, Dr. Herrera provided comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care, managed chronic and complex medical conditions, and emphasized preventive medicine and patient education. She also completed specialized training in Sports Medicine and Integrative Medicine, gaining experience in musculoskeletal care, lifestyle medicine, and holistic approaches to health. In addition, she contributed to medical education by mentoring medical students and participated in research focused on sports medicine, migrant health, and chronic disease management. Dr. Herrera is passionate about diabetes care, heart health, and supporting caregivers. Outside of work, Dr. Herrera enjoys spending time with family, reading, running, weight training, and boxing.
