Anitra Hughes, APRN

Ms. Anitra Hughes, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, is a compassionate Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience and six years in advanced practice. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner at South University. Anitra has provided care in diverse settings, including family medicine and advanced wound care, where she evaluated and treated chronic conditions and educated patients on disease management and nutrition. Her background includes leadership roles as a charge nurse and preceptor, mentoring new nurses and supporting interdisciplinary teams. She is passionate about improving quality of life for adults and seniors through personalized, holistic care. Outside of work, Anitra enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
