Angelika Jovin, MD

Dr. Angelika Jovin has joined CenterWell as a board-certified family practice specialist. Dr. Jovin earned her medical degree from Justus Liebig University School of Medicine in Giessen, Germany, in 1994 and trained in the Department of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery of the Max Planck Institute for Physiological and Clinical Research in Bad Nauheim, Germany, until moving to the United States in 1999. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT and completed the VA Geriatrics Scholar Program in 2022. Her honors include the Excellence Award from the McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Richmond, Virginia. She was an assistant professor of medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University for ten years. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Jovin was a family physician with the McGuire VAMC in Richmond, VA. She was previously an associate physician with Harbor Medical Associates in Clinton, CT. Her interests lie in heart and brain health for older adults to help them live their best lives. Outside of her work, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.
